Illuminating Sight into Insight marked a significant retrospective of acclaimed photographer Sudhir Ramchandran, bringing together a selection of works that reflected the range and development of his artistic career. The exhibition highlighted his transition across different genres of photography and the influence of his professional experiences on his fine art practice. It also offered an opportunity to examine the creative decisions behind his photographs, from technical precision and experimentation to the careful construction of mood and atmosphere. Through the diversity of works on display, the retrospective brought attention to photography as an independent artistic discipline, where craftsmanship, personal expression and creative interpretation intersect. Presented at Gallery G from 6 September to 10 October 2026, the exhibition recognised Ramchandran’s contribution to photography and his continuing engagement with the medium as both an artist and educator.
