At gallery g, we showcase the art of different regions in the country, such as that of West Bengal and now, again Goa with this new show, Neo Goa.
Apart from luminaries like FN Souza, VS Gaitonde and Laxman Pai, are very many fine Goan painters whose work is richly contextual, if not always acknowledged as such. The reasons are primarily communicative and logistical.
This is the 3rd Neo Goa show, the first two were in 2008 and 2009, curated with Ruchika’s Art Gallery, Panaji. Both were effective in directing Goan art, which is as evolved and accomplished as any of its peers, beyond the local towards the global.
